What “sell or share” means here
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not hand your name or email to unrelated marketing companies or data brokers.
California law uses a broader definition than most people expect. When we use advertising tools such as the Meta Pixel and the Conversions API to measure whether our Facebook and Instagram ads led to real orders, that transfer counts as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising — even though no money changes hands. That is what this page lets you switch off.
What is shared when the setting is on
- Actions you take on this site, such as viewing a product page or completing a purchase.
- Identifiers used to match that activity to an ad — including your email address, which is scrambled with one-way SHA-256 encryption before it leaves us. The receiving platform can check for a match. It cannot read the address.
- Technical information such as your IP address and browser type.
Who it goes to, and why
Meta Platforms, for measuring and improving the performance of our advertising, and our website analytics provider, for understanding site traffic. We do not share your information with advertising platforms for any other purpose.
What opting out does and does not do
It does
- Stop us sharing your browsing and purchase activity with advertising platforms.
- Stop your activity here being used to build advertising audiences.
- Stay in effect until you change it or clear this browser’s cookies.
It does not
- Stop you seeing our ads. You may still see them — they just will not be based on what you did on this site.
- Affect the cookies the site needs to work, such as keeping items in your cart.
- Cancel an order, cancel emails you signed up for, or delete information we already hold. Those are separate requests — see below.
- Change your price, your shipping, your return window or the service you get. We will never treat you differently for opting out.
Your other privacy rights
Alongside opting out, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you and who we shared it with.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete your personal information, apart from records we are legally required to keep.
Email support@letsgobiscuit.com with what you want and the email address you used to order. We will confirm we received your request within 10 business days and complete it within 45 days. If we need longer, we will tell you why before that period is up. We may need to verify who you are first, which usually means confirming a detail from your order.
Someone acting on your behalf
You can appoint an authorised agent to make a request for you. We will ask for written permission signed by you, and we may still ask you to confirm the request directly.
